| WELCOME!! Now, you ARE a COLLECTOR!! SHOP where Hawaii & Pacific collectors flock & stock ... Some call these items simply "paper," but "ephemera" is the trade term (and fancy way) of saying paper items created and used for a brief time in a long-ago past, yet extant today: brochures, maps, catalogues, booklets, ticket stubs, passenger tickets, even matchbooks. Ephemera is the stuff of history, the tracks of where we've been. For Hawaiiana & Pacificana aficionados, these items take on special significance because when found in good or excellent condition, they shout out their survival despite history, weather, handling & indifference. They tell us where we've been, who we are, & how far we've come.
If you were at the San Francisco Aloha Festival, Aug 7-8, 2010, and didn't see any "paper" there, it's because I couldn't fit another thing in Tuicom's two booths. Pls email margo@tuicom.com if you're looking for particular paper items ... Mahalo! |
